Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

My 2022 Updated picks are here: 2022 Top IPhone 13 Gimbals

One of the best news in recent times is the latest announcement and release of the iPhone 13 series from Apple. While the market rush is on to obtain these new smartphones, everyone’s looking to take full capabilities of their unique features. Because of the recency of release, all compatibility here will be based on the gimbals weight and size specifications. When we get more information I will update the article accordingly.

Why? The iPhone 13 series are uber-powerful in shooting videos, making short movies, and taking high-quality pictures. However, to get the best of these features, you’d need to get a gimbal for the iPhone series.

Gimbals are handheld mechanical stabilizers that allow you to record cinematic footage without needing a tripod stand. Amateur videos are called exactly that due to unnecessary vibrations, blurs, and shakes that temper with the quality of the footage. We see this every day when we log into our social media platforms. However, when you use a gimbal, you will not experience any interferences, ensuring that your smartphone gets the best visual experience.

Gimbals come with other unique features that make all the difference. But with several gimbals available in the market today, which ones are best suited for the iPhone 13 series?

Thankfully, we’ve curated the very best of them here, so you don’t have to struggle to look for them. Check out our recommended picks:

1 – DJI OM 5

If you’re a content creator looking to create stable, wide-angle shots, then the DJI OM 5 (Amazon) available on Amazon is just perfect for you. Available in new sunset white and classic grey colors, this gimbal is relatively smaller and lighter in weight compared to the previous edition, the OM4. It comes with a 215mm extension rod that gives you more flexibility to record from low angles and even takes group photographs with ease.

This gimbal packs a punch with the ShotGuides feature – one of the newest gimbals to implement this. It’s an AI feature that recognizes your environment and suggests shot sequences to produce the best results for your subject. You also get to play around with multiple templates for your shots: sports, weddings, daily life, landscapes, people, pets, and lots more. There’s also the Motion lapse, Timelapse, Hyper lapse, DynamicZoom, SpinShot, CloneMe Pano, and other shooting modes. This feature makes vlogging or documentaries simple to shoot and edit with the recommended templates.

The OJI OM 5 also features a 3-axis stabilization that allows you to record stable footage when you’re on the go or rooted in a spot. You don’t need any other accessories for stabilization, such as counterweights.
One thing that’s easily noticeable compared to the OM 4 is that the power buttons have been moved to the side just above the zoom slider. It has been replaced with a new button that allows you to switch between photo and video modes with a single press. A double press allows swapping between portrait and landscape views. You can also tweak this feature using the Mimo app available on Apple Store.

This gimbal is portable, which makes for easy mobility – it fits squarely in your palm after folding it. You can even store it in your bag or pocket and take it anywhere. The ActiveTrack 4.0 feature allows you to shoot fast-moving objects or slower subjects. This is possible with the long-focus tracking coupled with a speed of up to 5 m/s and 3x zoom.

The DJI OM 5 comes with a 1000mAh which can serve a maximum runtime of 6 hours before recharging. Overall, this gimbal is uber suitable for your iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 Mini, thanks to the companion app that blends with the hardware.
